Jim Gilmore, What's Going On?

The Campaign Trail- Republican presidential candidate, former Virginia Governor, and lip-less man, Jim Gilmore is, for whatever reason, still campaigning. After garnering only 12 caucus-goers in Iowa, Gilmore still has not called it quits on a campaign that literally failed to get more caucus-goers than main characters in Cheaper By the Dozen. In fact, as Stephen Colbert pointed out on The Late Show, there are more people in Iowa named Jim Gilmore than people who caucused for Jim Gilmore. Poor Jim couldn't even rally his own namesakes to his cause. How is this man supposed to reunited a nation torn apart by partisanship? For all we know he is speaking to an empty room in the picture above. We'll wager that nobody in the state of New Hampshire has any idea who Jim Gilmore is, so it's looking like another embarrassing defeat for him to completely ignore. Maybe he's still running because he doesn't know that you're allowed to drop out before the end. For all we know, Jim Gilmore thinks you have to just hemorrhage money for 18 months until the Republican primaries. Somebody really needs to let this guy know how the presidential campaign system works. And while we're at it, let's tell whoever is funding Jim Gilmore's to be more efficient with their money. That person (he can't have more than one donor, right?) could buy every moonbounce in the world and pop every single one of them and it would be a better use of their money than continuing to fund Jim Gilmore, the man who can't muster a baker's dozen worth of supporters in a state of 3.1 million people. Who knows, in a few years Jim Gilmore might look back at the 2015/2016 campaign as a fond memory. Or maybe, Jim Gilmore will still be on the campaign trail, not knowing that the election has already come and gone.
