Rim: 1, Melo: 0

"Did you say they'll be rims at this party...?"

Portland, OR- Carmelo Anthony, one of the league's best players, the staple of the New York Knicks, got his ass handed to him last night during the Trailblazer-Knicks game, twice in fact. The main ass-handing was the final score, with the Trailblazers winning 104-85. However, the more important ass-handing was when Melo, after the ball went out of bounds, tried to get fancy in the paint and dunk the ball. What ensued was the rim giving Melo the middle finger and essentially throwing the forward to the ground. Watch the clip here. There really isn't anything quite like seeing a grownass man being thrown to the ground by getting rim-stuffed. Especially since even if Melo scored, the dunk wouldn't have counted for anything. This murder, at the hands of the rim, should serve as a reminder to all up-and-coming basketball players that any attempt to be cool on the court will end up with you on the floor looking like a fool. Odds are Melo has been permanently scarred by this incident and won't be able to look at a rim for at least a few months. Everytime he sees the color orange, he'll be reminded of that fateful March night.
