St. Louis, Missouri- In one of the best and seemingly real It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episodes, Frank Reynolds (Danny Devito) actually showed up to a Bernie Sanders rally in St. Louis to introduce the candidate to a crowd of young people. This is a departure from the show's usual crazy, drug-infused plots that barely have a basis in reality. Sure, there have been classic, politically-charged episodes like "The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis" and "The Gang Solves the North Korean Situation," but nothing quite like this...Wait what was that? Danny Devito wasn't playing Frank Reynolds that entire time? He actually supports Bernie Sanders? Oh shit. Whoa, that's a big get for the Sanders campaign. It's not everyday you pick up support from a cast member from Matilda and a man who shared the silver screen with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Well now that makes the video of the two grandpas hugging all the more adorable. Not to mention that Devito has to use a legit box to reach the mic on the podium. This election officially has it all. When was the last time a Danny Devito type actually made an appearance on the trail. Sure we've seen Frank Reynolds-esque people (Donald Trump, Sarah Palin) this year, but we've never gotten the real deal. It's only a matter of time until other old celebrities decide to publicly support candidates. Who will Michael Caine support? What about Christopher Plummer? Lawrence Fishburne?
